About Me

I'm a software engineer located south of Columbus, Ohio with a small family of cats, a Chihuahua, and my soon to be wife, Kimberly.

I was raised in Leesburg, Ohio and worked as an electrician while going to school for Computer Science a bit of an odd combination but overall I've been in the electrical field for a total of 6 years.

Following graduation, I was lucky enough to find an awesome job at my current company traveling across the US working on our laser and pinstamp systems. It was a wonderful opportunity to explore the world that my somewhat restrained upbringing kept me from. After ~ a year in this role, an opening came up in our Software Engineering department -- I was lucky enough to essentially be in the right place at the right time.

Afterall, the Software industry is notoriously difficult to get into, especially for a graduate in rural Ohio with no experience beyond personal project web-apps. My current position is a mix of the hands-on experience gained in the electrical field and writing C++ applications mostly for embedded systems.

In between all of this, Kimberly and I reconnected years after we first met in high school and are happier than ever. :) We have our Chihuahia (her name is Queso -- don't judge, we adopted her with that name) who loves to go hiking with us all accross Ohio, West Virginia, and wherever else we can safely take her to.

We have several exciting trips and events happening this year and I look forward to sharing them on here. :)
